Last month, we hosted a Galentine’s Day Event exclusively for beauty advisors in Downtown LA. It was an exciting opportunity for BAs across retail to come together and learn about brands like COSRX, Ardell Beauty, Tangle Teezer, and good light cosmetics.
As always, the beauty advisors were eager to share their insights and enthusiasm with our team. Here are three things we learned from our conversations with our community.
1) Beauty advisors are excited to flex their influence for their favorite brands
BeautyFluencers are beauty junkies! They love to learn about new brands and bring their knowledge back to customers. Throughout the evening, BAs expressed an eagerness to learn more about new brands hitting the shelves, especially in a casual group setting. With the BeautyFluent app, they can revisit product training in seconds to get a refresher on key selling points and demo tips.
2) They LOVE any chance to receive full-size gratis
Depending on their retailer, some beauty advisors shared that they rarely receive gratis at their stores. This makes it difficult for them to recommend products based on personal experience. At the Galentine’s Day event, they were thrilled to receive a swag bag filled with full-sized products to take home and try for themselves.
3) Many BAs are also active micro-influencers on social media.
With learning stations and snap-worthy activations throughout the space, our Galentine’s Day event gave BeautyFluencers plenty to post. Many shared that they are actually active micro-influencers on the side–tagging sponsor brands in organic UGC content through the night.
